This is a 7 day creative course split roughly 4 days photography (similar to Course 1) and 3 days Photoshop Workshop. The main aim will be to create a picture with a difference - a more artistic look at digital photography.

We will be looking at:

- an overview of digital photography
- advantages of using RAW file format
- simple picture enhancement
- use of layers
- effective composition and cropping
- creating an artistic image

This workshop is suitable for people who have at least an elementary knowledge of Photoshop, although we can start from basics, as each course will be tailored to suit the needs of the group.

At the end of the course you will be able to choose your favourite picture and have a complimentary A3 print on high-quality photo paper, to take home.

 

Level of equipment required:

- Digital camera - preferably SLR
(digital compacts/bridge are ok, but not as flexible)
- tripod or monopod *
- wide angle and/or telephoto lenses
- flash gun, if you have one
- memory cards (min. 8Gb)
- battery charger/spare batteries
- USB card reader (we have a universal card reader, which will take 5 card formats)
- laptop computer with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements

* You can hire this equipment for the duration of your stay but you must inform us at the time of booking.

Waterproofs
Stout walking shoes/boots
Trainers
Digital camera, additional lenses, tripod etc.
Laptop computer
Sun block (even in the winter)
Suitable clothing for the time of year
Waterproof rucksack or camera bag
A positive attitude and a sense of humour!
